The Friends Summer Programs  2011
       Session 1: July 11 - 14
       Session 2: July 18 - 22
      Session 3: July 25 - 28
Session 4:  August 1- 4
The Program will have a morning and afternoon program.

The Pre-K and K will meet from 10:00 - Noon
The 1st - 3rd Grade will meet from 1:00 - 3:00
Each session will have a special theme.  In the context of the week’s theme we will be helping the children put on their Special SPECS and be more attentive to their:
•Social Interactions with Peers
•Pretend Play with Peers
•Emotional Regulation
•Communication with others & their
•Sensory response to both old and new experiences
The parents groups will include creating an individualized goal plan, a session with your child’s group therapist, a day for just the kids, and a session with a member of your support network.

The Pre-K/ K morning program will use story books that focus on collaboration as the theme for each session.
Session 1 will be: a Space Mission. The children will read I want to be an Astronaut.
Session 2 will be: Swimmy. The fish learns the value of working with others.
Session 3 will be: a story about making lemonade. The children will create their favorite recipe, share recipes, and pretend to sell lemonade to their parents.
Session 4 will be:

The 1st - 3rd Grade afternoon group will create a group story that they will act out at the end of each session.  The themes will be:
Session 1 will be: a Space Mission.
Session 2 will be: Pirates.
Session 3 will be: making a Lemonade stand and project book.
Session 4 will be: making a club and a club house.

The cost of each session will be $1000.00
